Federal funding will put 91原创 kids to work

A youth training program is being funded at LCSS.

91原创 Community Services Society will receive more than $900,000 in federal funding to give job training and work experience to 95 local young people.

Cloverdale-91原创 City MP John Aldag announced the funding Wednesday afternoon at the LCSS offices.

鈥淵oung people need a chance to show what they can do,鈥 said Aldag.

The Skills to Success program is part of the federal government鈥檚 Youth Employment Strategy.

Skills Link projects are aimed at young people who have barriers to employment, including being single parents, Indigenous youth, people with disabilities, new Canadians, and those living in remote and rural areas.

Sanjeev Nand executive director of the LCSS, thanked Aldag.
