A federal all-candidates forum for the Abbotsford-South 91原创 riding has been announced for Wednesday, April 23.
The event will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and take place at the Legacy Sports Centre banquet hall located at Abbotsford Exhibition Park.
The forum is being hosted by the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB) and the Fraser Valley Indo-Canadian Business Association (FVICBA).

Independent Mike de Jong and Liberal Kevin Gillies have both confirmed attendance for the event
It will feature a structured, moderated discussion format, where candidates will field questions from business associations and the audience.
Key discussion areas include:
- infrastructure development
- economic uncertainty and supporting Canadian business
- crime reduction and healthy communities
- international trade
"The upcoming election presents a crucial opportunity for our business community to engage with candidates and gain a deeper understanding of their position on important issues," stated the chamber's acting CEO Craig Toews. "Our goal is to ensure that business voices are heard and that our region continues to thrive through thoughtful investment in infrastructure, public safety, agriculture, housing, and education.鈥
Attendance is free and open to the public. Registration is available on the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce events page. All official candidates registered with Elections Canada for the Abbotsford-South 91原创 Riding have been invited to participate.
Organizers stated that independent Mike de Jong and the Liberal Party of Canada's Kevin Gillies have both confirmed their attendance. Melissa Snazell of the Green Party of Canada has also confirmed she will be attending.
The Mission Chamber of Commerce hosts a federal all candidates meeting for the Mission鈥揗atsqui鈥揂bbotsford riding on Tuesday, April 8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Registration for this event is available on the Mission Chamber of Commerce events page.
The federal election occurs on Monday, April 28.
