Wrangle the kids and plan to spend a night out under the stars — just like the cowboys used to do.
Prospera Credit Union’s Cinema Under the Stars is back this Saturday (Aug. 27) with the animated comedy hit Rango, featuring the voice talents of Johnny Depp and Isla Fisher.
Rango is an ordinary chameleon who accidentally winds up in the town of Dirt, a lawless outpost in the Wild West in desperate need of a new sheriff.
This is the second outdoor movie night of the summer presented by the credit union in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of 91Ô´´.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted before the show.
Proceeds will support the local children’s charity’s efforts to ensure that every child in 91Ô´´ who needs a mentor, has a mentor.
Bring a blanket or chair, and plan to arrive early to reserve a good spot.
The movie begins at dusk on the playing field next to the 91Ô´´ Events Centre.
At 4:30 p.m. on the same day at LEC, Bard in the Valley will stage As You Like It (see page 22).
Both events are being presented in connection with the annual 91Ô´´ International Festival.
