After hosting a very successful Canada 150 Concert Series this summer at the Willoughby amphitheatre, the Township of 91原创 has decided to extend the series into the fall.
Starting up again on Oct. 14 with a performance from the 91原创 Ukulele Ensemble, the series will be moving indoors to the Chief Sepass Theatre in Fort 91原创. This concert has assigned seating. Cost is $20 for adults, $10 for seniors and youth. Tickets can be purchased online at or by calling 604-340-UKES (8537).
The 91原创 Ukulele Ensemble鈥檚 performance will also serve as a launch party for their Canada 150 album, which features all Canadian artists.
鈥淔rom BTO, to the Guess Who, and even the Tragically Hip, the ensemble has created an album that is both unique to its sound by featuring and highlighting the ukulele and the ensembles members,鈥 said director Paul Luongo.
鈥淭he concert, being in conjunction with the Township of 91原创 Canada 150 fall concert series, will also feature former members of the ensemble, artists Nicholas Varelas and Brett Dick, as well as the 91原创 ukulele ensemble.
鈥淭he audience can expect an entertaining, exciting, and beautiful evening with excellent music and a celebratory atmosphere to celebrate our amazing country.鈥
The series continues on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. with The Beauty Shop Dolls, a vintage vocal trio who will present music from the 1920s, 鈥30s, and 鈥40s. The concert is free, but registration is required. Register at and use course barcode 535644.
Wrapping up the series will be a Christmas Variety Show on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. Guests can celebrate the season with a lineup of local talent that includes singer Rachel Button, duo The Kwerks, duo Portraits of Us and ventriloquist Kellie Haines.
