Aspiring young poets and lyricists in the Fraser Valley are invited to lelÓ™m´ Arts and Cultural Café and 91Ô´´ Centennial Museum to take part in Scriptum Vox — the third annual youth poetry slam for poets age 13-18.
On Saturday, May 3, creative youth speakers will gather at lelәm´ from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and take the stage to share their voice.
The top teenage wordsmiths and performers in the Fraser Valley will be decided by five guest judges selected from the audience and receive prizes for their original compositions.
May 3 will also be a buzz of activity at the Fort 91Ô´´ National Historic Site as they host their Summer Launch and barbecue.
Directly following Scriptum Vox, families can head to the fort and enjoy festivities such as airsoft musket firing, barbecue concession, farm animals, behind-the-scenes tours and free admission from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
