Fat City thanks their Lucky Stars

Rockabilly band swings into West 91Ô­´´ Hall March 18

Rockabilly sensation, Howard Rix and His Lucky Stars will visit Fat City for one night only, on Friday, March 18, at the West 91Ô­´´ Hall 9400 208 St.

 Rix is every ’50s rock icon rolled into one with — a greaser, in his white T-shirt, blue jeans, leather jacket and duck tail, who is magic on the microphone. Rounding out this formidable band is rockabilly hall-of-famer Ray Condo, with lead guitarist  Steve Nickleva, steel guitarist Jimmy Roy, as well as Michael Van Eyes, who rivals Jerry Lee Lewis on piano.  

Admission is $15 or $13 for students with valid ID. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., an introductory swing dance lesson is at 8 p.m., with the band sweeping the stage from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
