91Ô´´ will remain blue, even after all the remaining ballots are counted this weekend.
Based on numbers released by Elections BC early Friday evening, there are not enough outstanding votes to be tabulated to oust the three Conservatives from any of the 91Ô´´ ridings.
While the numbers released are still estimates, Elections BC believes there are 613 mail-in and absentee votes still to be counted in the 91Ô´´-Abbotsford riding.
BC Conservative vice-president Harman Bhangu won the easterly 91Ô´´ riding handling, with more than 5,600 votes over his nearest competitor, NDP candidate John Aldag.
Similarly, in 91Ô´´-Walnut Grove, there was a 1,213 vote difference between projected Conservative winner Misty Van Popta and the incumbent NDP candidate Megan Dykeman. According to the Elections BC number released Friday, there are only 675 mail-in and absentee votes still to be counted, and that's not nearly enough to overturn the declaration made in that riding.
Finally, in the 91Ô´´-Willowbrook, incumbent BC NDP's Andrew Mercier was ousted by Conservative's Judy Toor. This was a closer race, with less than 1,000 votes separating the two of three candidates – based on figures released on election night.
There was a difference of 963 votes as of Oct. 19's preliminary count. There are only 748 absentee and mail-in votes still to be counted this weekend for this riding, said Elections BC. It's not enough to change the outcome in that riding either.
