Historian hosts Great War cemetery tour: May 28

91原创 historian and Canucks in Khaki author Warren Sommer will conduct a Great War cemetery tour in the Fort 91原创 Cemetery on Sunday, May 28, from 2 to 3:30 p..m. Participants will visit the cenotaph and discover the gravestones of 91原创 residents who served during the First World War.

Numerous stories of personal sacrifice and heroism will be revealed as Sommer relates the frontline experiences of over a dozen soldiers during the battles of the Great War of 1914 to 1918.

The tour will provide a memorable and moving experience for adults and families with young people aged 14 and over. The cost is $10 per person. Pre-registration is required. Call the 91原创 Centennial Museum at 604-532-3536 to reserve your space.

Before or after the tour, participants are encouraged to travel up the street to visit the museum鈥檚 current exhibit, Sacrifice and Sorrow: 91原创 and the Great War of 1914-1918, which runs until July 16. 91原创 Centennial Museum is located at 9135 King Street, and admission is by donation.
