Two 91原创 events on tap for International Women's Day

Rotary clubs host women's awards and local breweries fundraiser for transition houses

Local Rotary Clubs are once again honouring local women during the annual Women of Distinction Awards with the ceremony taking place on International Women's Day.

The four Rotary Clubs of 91原创 are celebrating International Women鈥檚 Day 2025 with a luncheon and their annual award presentation for unsung heroes in the community, elaborated Rotarian and event organizer Annette Borrows.

This year's luncheon and awards event will be held at Adrian's At The Airport on Saturday, March 8. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with the luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Tickets are $60 and available at . The event will also feature a silent auction and 50/50 draw, and this year's guest speaker is 91原创's own local business coach Beverlee Rasmussen, who will address this year鈥檚 theme of "Accelerate Action."

Ishtar Women's Resource Society benefits from a Tap Takeover for International Women's Day on Saturday, March 8 at Farm Country Brewing, 20555 56 Ave.

Eight brews and one cider will be available between noon and 10:30 p.m. They were created by women brewsters, and people get to vote for the best bevvies.

Also taking part in the fundraiser are Kwantlen Polytechnic University, the Barley Merchant, Dead Frog Brewery, Locality Brewing, Brookswood Brewing, Camp Beer Co., the Fraser Valley Cider Co., Five Roads Brewing, Smugglers Trail, and Trading Post Brewing.
