St. Joseph's Catholic Church is once again hosting a community Christmas dinner on Dec. 25.

A group of 91原创 people is organizing a Christmas Day get-together, and are hard at work, planning and cooking a massive feast of turkey, ham and all the trimmings.

The party is on for 5 p.m., at the parish hall at St. Joseph鈥檚 Catholic Church, 20676 Fraser Hwy. The meal is free for all.

Now as for many years, a party is being readied for the parish hall of St. Joseph鈥檚. The doors open for the public at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

鈥淥ne of the truly great miracles of our life here on Earth is the finding of and renewing our hope and joy in the company of others," said organizer Marg Rodrigues. "The magic of this is a grand revelation of Christmas. And from the earliest days of the Church, it has happened at dinner time. So, if you are interested, come and join us.鈥

The idea for the meal came three decades ago when members of the Knights of Columbus realized that for many people, Christmas was something they had to get through, not celebrate.
