Every ticket was snapped up for Saturday night鈥檚 Denim &Diamonds Gala, benefiting the 91原创 Memorial Hospital Foundation.

All 344 seats were filled inside the Coast Hotel ballroom, next door to Cascades Casino in downtown 91原创.

And this equated into big bucks.

This year鈥檚 gala raised a record setting $506,400, which will be used for equipment and initiatives at 91原创 Memorial Hospital (LMH).

This makes chair Deanna Horn, along with the LMH Foundation鈥檚 board of directors, very happy.

This year marks a milestone for the gala, which celebrated its 25th year. Ongoing community involvement has enabled the foundation to support capital projects, the purchase of capital equipment, and patient comfort initiatives for LMH for more than 30 years.

Horn said Saturday鈥檚 gala was as successful as past fundraisers. 鈥淲e find that this works really, really well. I think they transform the inside (of the ballroom), they really do.鈥�

Horn has a strong connection to the hospital, which is why she believes so strongly in the foundation and fundraising for LMH equipment and initiatives.

鈥淢y grandmother was treated in 91原创 hospital, my grandchildren were born there, so we鈥檙e five generations that have used this hospital,鈥� she said.

鈥淎nd everything from prostate cancer to injuries, to knee replacements, to heart attacks, to babies being born鈥� we鈥檝e done it all. So when it came time to give back to my community, it was the hospital. I鈥檓 really pleased to be able to work with the foundation.鈥�

Everybody uses the hospital at one time or another, Horn noted, adding that everyone needs good health care.

During the gala, Horn told the audience that 鈥渆very year, we have worked hard to support the needs of our hospital and this year is certainly no exception. We continue to support the hospital with their ongoing capital and equipment needs, and the foundation is investing in long range planning in the delivery of health care in 91原创.鈥�
