Shelley Waters found what she called a 鈥渂eauty鈥� on the Brea Island trail recently. 鈥淣ot sure what kind of mushroom this was, but it was definitely beautiful,鈥� she shared. Waters and others might be surprised to learn this is a fly agaric mushroom or amanita muscaria. Its cap is dark red to reddish-orange, like these, small white dots on top. Although toxic, it is treated and eaten as a delicacy in some countries. (Special to 91原创 Advance Times)
