The 91原创 Senior Resources Society has teamed up with the 91原创 Chinese Arts and Cultures Association to put on one of the year's most vibrant celebrations.

The Lunar New Year celebration is taking place Friday, Jan. 24, at the seniors centre, 20605 51B Ave. starting at 11 a.m.

Open to everyone, the event will mark the New Year celebrated by Chinese and other cultures. In addition to the festivities, the centre will have a menu of authentic Chinese dishes in its cafeteria that day.

Anyone with questions can contact the seniors centre, 604-530-3020.

The date of Lunar New Year changes annually. This year it falls on Jan. 29 and is celebrated by several Asian cultures with 2025 being the Year of the Snake. Each year has a different animal designated.
