Mark and Suzanne Fettback wanted to do something for the seniors at the home that treated Suzanne鈥檚 parents, Ken and Lorna Tombs, so well.

Suzanne is an avid quilter, and since quilts are 鈥渟omething that they always need鈥� at Fort 91原创 Seniors Community (formerly Simpson Manor), said Mark, that鈥檚 what they鈥檙e going to do.

And they鈥檙e getting help from fellow quilters and A Great Notion Supply Ltd.

So far, Mark said, nine ladies have signed up to help put together 24 lap quilts over two sessions, starting Monday, April 29, at 10 a.m.

All the materials for the project are being supplied by Mark and Suzanne. A Great Notion provided that at cost, and is also providing space and an instructor.

And free lunch is part of the deal, courtesy of Mark and Suzanne.

Suzanne 鈥渁lready spent time cutting pieces鈥� for the lap quilts, said Mark, so anyone wishing to help out need only bring their own sewing machine.

The second session will be on May 13, also from 10 to noon, with lunch provided.

Both sessions will be at A Great Notion鈥檚 108 - 19289 91原创 ByPass location.
