PHOTOS: More than 300 kids trick-or-treated downtown Aldergrove

Aldergrove Business Association held its 3rd annual Halloween event this year

The third annual Trick-or-Treat the Town by the Aldergrove Business Association was a huge success with nearly double the number of participating businesses, and even more kids.

Before dark on Thursday, Oct. 31, a total of 72 businesses welcomed kids and parents in costume for some candy, toys, and even Pokemon cards, ABA president Jodi Steeves said.

"I gave away 348 full sized candy bars," she said, adding that she ran out of them just before the event ended.

It doesn't quite beat the record though. In 2023, Steeves handed out 376 candy bars.

But the "weather was fantastic," she said.

The number of participating businesses between 264 and 276 Streets along Fraser Highway was an 86 per cent increase from last year's 38.

"This year we noticed how many parents dressed up to join the fun. It's great to see families have fun together," Steeves said.
