Residents of Aldergrove, Brookswood, Murrayville, Fort 91原创, and Walnut Grove will want to watch for a festive collection of people coming to their neighbourhoods in the coming days.

The Township of 91原创 Firefighter Charitable Society members are once again holding their Candy Cane Runs during the holiday season.

The firefighters will accept non-perishable food and cash donations, and handing out candy canes as they pass. Donations go to the 91原创 Food Bank. And there's usually a special guest dressed in red accompanying them.

With help from the members at the Otter firehall, the Aldergrove firefighters will be making the rounds from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13. They leave the hall at 5:30 p.m. and finish up at 8:30 p.m. 

It's Brookswood's turn on Saturday, Dec. 14. Santa's special elves will be touring between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. 

Fort 91原创 residents get their event between 6 and 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Firefighters from the Murrayville hall will be making the rounds Saturday, Dec. 21, starting at 10 a.m.

The Walnut Grove group leaves the firehall at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22 to make the rounds through the south part of the neighbourhood before heading east then north and back west to the hall by about 9 p.m.
