The third annual Furry Tails Foot Race through Derby Reach Regional Park takes place this Sunday, April 29.

Participants are invited to enjoy a 5 km walk or run with their leashed canine companion or test themselves in the 10 km course that winds along the beautiful trails at Derby Reach Regional Park. All funds raised through the race benefit 91原创 Animal Protection Society to help orphaned cats and dogs find forever homes.

Both the 5 km and 10 km events start at 9 a.m.

LAPS recently held its annual Kitten Round Up where volunteers spend a Saturday at the shelter taking in any unwanted kittens, stray or farm kittens and pregnant cats, no questions asked.

Also recently, LAPS held its grand opening of the first of its kind in Canada cat intake facility called ISOasis.
