Aldergrove businesses are preparing for crowds of 60,000-plus to pack into the Fraser Highway strip between 264 and 272 Streets on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Street banners are already up for the mile-long car show with lineups of classic cars, hot rods, customs, marketplace vendors, and other popular features.

The annual 91原创 Good Times Cruise-In charity car show, running for 27 years now, is being welcomed back by local businesses.

Cruise-In is a highlight of the year for many of them, including Veronica Cave of Veronica's Perogies.

"It's a great opportunity to connect with the community and showcase our products to those who know us and those who don't," she said.

Cave's team looks forward to seeing the hundreds of cars on display as well, and meeting car enthusiasts that share an appreciation for craftsmanship and detail, she told The Star.

She added that the annual event creates a "buzz" that extends beyond the single-day car show.

"People enjoy what Aldergrove offers on the day of Cruise-In, they're more likely to spread the word about their experiences, sharing recommendations about our local businesses with friends and family."

The car show also highlights the charm of Aldergrove, Cave said.

Veronica's Perogies is working on a menu to offer within the Cruise-In theme, which will include items like 'Cruiser Perogy Combo' and "Classic Perogy Car Plate." The team is also working on ways to ensure attendees get their orders fast so they can go back to enjoying the car show.

"We have been preparing our perogy inventory for a month now, and ensuring our team is well prepared to handle the surge in customers," she explained.

"Having this event is very important to Aldergrove."

The Cruise-In car show takes place along Fraser Highway between 264 and 272 Streets in downtown Aldergrove on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Spectators are invited to attend as early as 8 a.m. The show wraps up at about 4 p.m.
