Aldergrove鈥檚 2019 Friendship Hockey team has its sights set on Japan.
The peewee level hockey team 鈥� ages 10 and 11 鈥� have been participating in the bi-annual tournaments since its inception in Adergrove more than 20 years ago. The 2017 team recently returned from this year鈥檚 tournament in St. Paul, Minn.
Th goal of the tournament is not to win games, but rather to foster international goodwill among the participating youths and their escort families.
The 17 team members will be busy fundraising during the next two years to pay for the trip to the tournament, which is hosted in 2019 by Japan.
