It was very lucky that Esther Wang of 91原创 survived more than two days lost in Golden Ears Provincial Park.
Aside from prayer, she credited her survival to some lessons learned in the cadets program.
Many Canadians take part in similar programs that give them some wilderness skills, including Scouting and Guiding.
But many don鈥檛, or forget those childhood lessons by the time they venture into the woods for a hike in middle age.
Should we do more to make wilderness skills training available to Canadians?
