Regan Yee and Caleb De Jong each finished in third spot as the Trinity Western Spartans cross-country teams competed at the UVic Invitational.
The race was held Saturday at Victoria鈥檚 Beacon Hill Park.
Yee finished the eight-kilometre race in 28:31.68 and she was one of five TWU runners to place in the top 14. as Mirelle Martens (29:48.00) was eighth, Joanna Williams (29:57.62) tenth, Jouen Chang (30:00.42) 11th and Bailey Haugen (31:05.62) 14th
On the men鈥檚 side, De Jong completed the 10-km course in 31:28.60 and he was one of five Spartans to finish in the top 15. Levi Neufeld (31:57.64) was seventh, Nick Colyn (32:08.42) was eighth, Declan White (32:25.61) was 13th and James Lam (32:28.10) was 15th.
Both teams are ranked top five nationally with the men鈥檚 team listed third and the women鈥檚 team fifth among U Sports cross-country programs from across the country.
Next up for both Spartan cross-country team is the B.C. championships Oct. 28 in Abbotsford.
