Defence led the way as the 91原创 Xtreme 05 ripped apart the competition at the Kelowna Fastball Spring Sizzle this past weekend.
The rep B girls fastball team allowed a combined six runs in capturing top spot at the tournament.
That included back-to-back shutouts in the semifinals and championship game. 91原创 defeated the PoCo Ravens 7-0 in the gold-medal game while beating the Kelowna Heat 11-0 in the semifinals.
In round-robin play, the Xtreme blasted the Calgary Adrenaline 22-0, doubled the Vancouver Wildcats 05 by a 6-3 score and won 5-1 against the Richmond Islanders 05.
And in the qualifying game to make the final four, 91原创 needed to rally from a 2-1 deficit against the Cloverdale Fury 05 to rattle off 11 straight runs to win 12-2.
