The North 91原创 Warriors battled back to win the mite (10-year-olds) B softball provincial title over the weekend at Burnaby鈥檚 Squint Lake Park.

The Warriors found themselves seeded 10th out of 17 teams after losing in the round robin stage against top-seeded Ridge Meadows and Port Coquitlam.

But the team rebounded to win their three playoffs games and the B title.

The Warriors used great defence and pitching in the quarter-finals and semifinals.

In the first, Emma Moreno struck out 14 batters and allow just one run in a 3-1 win over the North Delta All-Stars, and then they beat Richmond 10-1.

In the finals against Newton, Moreno fanned another 16 batters while Piper French and Brooklyn Baly powered the offence to a 6-5 victory.

The team is made up of: Emma Moreno, Piper French, Brooklyn Baly, Sydney Wood, Kaitlyn Cowie, Jayna Hagen, Rebecca Courneyea, Mya Sousa, Rachel Drewitt, Katie Robinson and Sierra Miller.

They are coached by Robert French and Trevor Moreno.
