Fourth straight win of the season for 91原创 team

91原创 Rams celebrated their second annual Rams Family Day event by downing Valley Huskers 27-8 for their very first Cascade Cup win on Saturday, Aug. 24 before 1,500 fans at McLeod stadium.

Created to recognize the Fraser Valley rivalry between Rams and Huskers, the trophy went to the Chilliwack team in its first and second years.

Year three was different.

Rams took the lead from the beginning, and Huskers couldn't catch up.

As close as the visitors came was the third quarter, when a Chilliwack touchdown narrowed the 91原创 lead to 13-8.

One of the Rams touchdowns was provided by new acquisition, receiver Gob Deng, who hauled in a pass and took it 60 yards to the end zone for a TD.

Rams running back Bruce Jones accounted for two touchdowns, covering 45 yards  on the ground, and "breaking about half a dozen tackles in the process," club president Dana Matheson noted.

With the win, Rams have a 4-1 record, while Huskers fall to 2-3.
