Twins top Blaze in first-place showdown

The North Shore Twins plated the game鈥檚 only run, defeating the visiting 91原创 Blaze in a first-place showdown.

The Twins improved to 23-8, 1.5 games ahead of the 21-9 Blaze with Tuesday鈥檚 victory at Parkgate Park in North Vancouver in BC Premier Baseball League action.

North Shore put together the game鈥檚 only offence in the sixth inning with a double and two batters later, RBI single.

Michael Stovman took the loss on the mound for 91原创, scattering seven hits over six innings.

The Blaze bats managed just five hits.

91原创, which saw their four-game winning streak snapped, will look to get back to the win column when they host the White Rock Tritons on June 22 at McLeod Athletic Park.
