Toth earns spot on Team B.C.

Aldergrove’s Kirsten Toth will play for Team B.C. at the 2011 female under 18 national hockey championships.

The 17-year-old, who plays defence, attended Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, Sask. during the 2010-11 season. She played on the Hounds’ midget women’s hockey team.

With Notre Dame, she helped the Hounds win provincials, the western Canadian championships, and then finally the 2011 Esso Cup title (national championship) back in April.

Toth earned her spot on Team B.C. after surviving the final round of cuts, which took place following a five-day camp in Salmon Arm last month.

The tournament runs Nov. 2-6 in Saguenay, Que.
