The final four for both brackets at the Tsumura Basketball Invitational Boys Tournament is decided, following the quarter-final round on Thursday at 91Ô­´´ Events Centre.

The Select 16 semi-final games will pit the Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs against the St. Thomas More Collegiate Knights at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, followed by the Heritage Woods Kodiaks and the King George Dragons at 4:30 p.m.

Over in the Super 16 bracket, the two non-B.C. teams will battle in the first as Calgary visitors, the St. Mary’s Eagles, are up against California’s Santa Margarita Eagles while the other semi-final is an all-Vancouver clash between the St. Patrick Celtics and the St. George’s Saints. Those two games are scheduled for 6:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., respectively, and all four games will be played on south court.

Heritage Woods 84 Wellington 64

The Heritage Woods Kodiaks were deadly from downtown, draining a dozen triples in their 84-64 win over the Wellington Wildcats. Ahead by nine points after 10 minutes, the Kodiaks were dominant in the second quarter as they extended their lead to 24 points at the half. Aidan Wilkie led Heritage Woods with 24 points, including five three-pointers. Grade 10 forward Grayson Ritzand went off for 41 points to lead the Wildcats.

King George 66 Sullivan Heights 55

After the Sullivan Heights Stars cut the deficit to eight points in the third quarter, the King George Dragons responded with an 8-0 run to re-establish their double-digit advantage on their way to a 66-55 win, securing their spot in the semi-final round. The Dragons trailed just once – 3-0 – but aside from that brief deficit, maintained a double-digit advantage for almost the entirety of the game. King George’s centre combo of Faisal Shawwa and Andre Novicic combined for 39 points, scoring 21 and 18, respectively. Ethan Hugall powered the Stars with 23 points, 21 of which came from beyond the arc.

St. Thomas More Collegiate 73 South Kamloops 53

The St. Thomas More Collegiate Knights opened the game with 19 of the first 22 points and that early advantage proved to be too much to overcome for the South Kamloops Titans in a 73-53 Knights victory. STMC’s Grade 11 combo of Zeru Abera (24 points) and Shane Deza (23) led the way with Deza scoring 18 in the third quarter alone. Larry Shyaka-Gisa scored 13 to top the Titans.

Sir Winston Churchill 63 North Delta 57

In a game where the biggest lead by either team was four points through the first three quarters, the Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs had just enough to edge the North Delta Huskies 63-57. Thomas Jefferson scored 25 points – which included six three-pointers – for the Bulldogs while Harvir Hothi finished with 23 for the Huskies.

St. George’s 82 Burnaby South 78 (OT)

After forcing overtime with a last-second bucket, the St. George’s Saints prevailed 82-77 over the Burnaby South Rebels to book a spot in the semi-final round. The game was a back-and-forth affair featuring nine lead changes and 14 ties over the course of the 45 minutes. The Saints combo of Dorian Glogovac (23 points) and Kevin Zhong (20) led the way in the victory while Tyler Crossley scored 26 and Lordrikk Gutierrez had 25 for Burnaby South.

St. Patrick 74 Lord Byng 61

Jovin Sunner erupted for 32 points as the St. Patrick Celtics defeated the Lord Byng Grey Ghosts 74-61. The Celtics never trailed in the contest, leading by double digits for almost the entire 40 minutes. Lord Byng’s Marko Radic had 23 points.

Santa Margarita 83 Spectrum 49

The Spectrum Thunder were able to run with the Santa Margarita Eagles in the first 10 minutes, trailing by just six. But the California school used a 20-9 second quarter on their way to an 83-49 win. Cameron McNamee’s 20 points and Dallas Washington’s 17 led Santa Margarita while Tyler Felt (16) and Justin Hinrichsen (14) countered for Spectrum.

St. Mary’s 98 Kelowna 89

Down a point in the fourth quarter, the St. Mary’s Saints closed on a 14-4 run to defeat the Kelowna Owls 98-89. The Saints had jumped out to a 21-5 lead before the Owls battle back to finally pull even in the third quarter, setting up a final frame which featured 10 lead changes until St. Mary’s final surge. Jacob McLellan led the way for the Calgary school with 34 points. Kelowna’s Nash Semeniuk led all scorers with 37.
