Two days are now complete at the 2024 BC School Sports Girls Basketball Provincial Championships at 91原创 Events setting up semi-finals across all four tiers on Friday, March 1.
The three 91原创 teams competing 鈥� Brookswood Secondary, Credo Christian, and 91原创 Christian 鈥� all won their matches on day 2 to make it to the semi-finals.
Tickets are available for purchase and every game of all four championships is also available to stream through pay-per-view at TFSETV.ca. Daily schedules, scores and news can also be found at www.bchighschoolbasketballchampionships.com. The finals are played Saturday, March 2.
4A Tournament
The seventh-seeded Yale Lions pulled off the shocker, taking down the No. 2 seed Argyle Pipers in the biggest upset of the day among all four tiers at the BC School Sports Girls Basketball Provincial Championships. It sets up a semi-final showdown with the No. 3 ranked Seaquam Seahawks while the No. 1 seed (and defending champion) Riverside Rapids face the No. 4 Okanagan Mission Huskies.
#1 Riverside Rapids 78 #8 Kelowna Owls 32
A 35-point first quarter had the Riverside Rapids off and running into the final four. The No. 1 seed and defending champs were 78-32 winners over the Kelowna Owls in the quarter-final round.
And it was a scoring by committee approach for a second straight game with Avery Sussex鈥檚 20 points leading the charge while Isla Kelly added 18 and Jorja Hart scored 15. Cali Ausenhus with 10 points was the top scorer for the Owls.
#4 Okanagan Mission Huskies 86 #12 Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers 78
The Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers made a late push, cutting a double-digit deficit down to eight, but could get no closer as the Okanagan Mission Huskies booked a spot in the semi-final round.
Aside from an early deficit in the opening quarter, the Huskies were playing with the lead. Grade 10 guard Shae Sandhu had a monster third quarter in the victory as she scored all 16 of her points in that 10-minute stretch while Presley Hopf led the team with 22 points. Jada Burden and Faith Hunter each added 18. Saavyn Mann鈥檚 27 points were tops for Kelowna.
#7 Yale Lions 74 #2 Argyle Pipers 66
A second-quarter surge helped the Yale Lions to an upset victory as they knocked out the tournament鈥檚 No. 2 seed, the Argyle Pipers 74-66. Yale was ahead 23-17 before scoring 14 unanswered points. The Lions led by as many as 24 late in the first half. The Pipers would claw their way back to get within seven points but could get no closer.
Ava Heppner had 29 points for Yale while Maeva Carnahan added 18. Reece Tam finished with 28 for Argyle.
#3 Seaquam Seahawks 87 #6 G.W. Graham Grizzlies 60
The Seaquam Seahawks jumped out to a 24-point lead at the half as they defeated the G.W. Graham Grizzlies 87-60. Camryn Tait had 19 points and Syra Toor scored 17 as five Seahawks scored in double figures. Emily Sprott had 17 for the Grizzlies.
3A Tournament
Four of the top five seeds are left standing following the quarter-final round of the BC School Sports 3A Girls Basketball Provincial Championships at 91原创 Events Centre.
The No. 1 seed Brookswood Bobcats will face the No. 5 Reynolds Roadrunners in one semi-final while the second-seed St. Michaels University School Blue Jags are up against the No. 3 South Kamloops Titans.
#5 Reynolds Roadrunners 69 #4 M.E.I. Eagles 58
The Reynolds Roadrunners shook of a slow start 鈥� they trailed 16-8 after a period 鈥� to upset the M.E.I. Eagles 69-58. The Roadrunners were down seven before using an 18-4 run to seize control of the quarter-final matchup as they never trailed from that point on.
The trio of 6-1 Bella Graves, 5-10 Skyler Lubben and 6-1 Saige Parfitt proved to be too much for the Eagles as they scored 27, 20 and 15 points, respectively. Olivia Sidhu countered with 23 for M.E.I. while Lola Reimer added 19.
#3 South Kamloops Titans 70 #11 R.A. McMath Wildcats 33
While the R.A. McMath Wildcats may have had a second straight upset on their minds, the South Kamloops Titans were having none of that. The duo of Feron Wallace (23 points) and Lucy Marchese (21) combined for 44 points. Kiana Kaczur added 13 in the victory.
The Titans were up 11 at the half before blowing the game open in the third as they held the Wildcats to 10 points while exploding for 28 points of their own to put the game out of reach. McMath was led by Tiana Maedel鈥檚 22 points.
#2 St. Michaels University School Blue Jags 68 #10 W.L. Seaton Sonics 32
The St. Michaels University School Blue Jags punched their ticket to the final four with a dominant defensive effort, holding the W.L. Seaton Sonics to 14 first-half points in a 68-32 win.
Charlie Anderson and Alex Motherwell scored 15 points apiece in the victory while Aleeya Ouch had 11 for the Sonics.
#1 Brookswood Bobcats 74 # 8 College Heights Cougars 36
Jordyn Nohr scored 21 of her 25 points in the first half as the Brookswood Bobcats advanced to the semi-final round with a convincing 74-36 win over the College Heights Cougars.
As a team, Brookswood was good on nine three-point attempts with both Bryn Symons (13 points) and Emma Lehnhoff (9 points) draining three apiece. Summer Toor scored 10 to lead the Cougars.

Four of the top five seeds are through to the final four at the BC School Sports 2A Girls Basketball Provincial Championships. It sets up semi-final showdowns between No. 1 Mulgrave and No. 5 St. Thomas More Collegiate while No. 2 Holy Cross will take on No. 3 91原创 Christian.
#1 Mulgrave Titans 73 #8 Pacific Academy Breakers 50
The defending champion and top-seed Mulgrave Titans are through to the semi-final round as they held off the Pacific Academy Breakers 73-50. The Titans鈥� lead was done to seven very early in the fourth quarter before Mulgrave scored 14 straight to re-establish a double-digit lead.
Mulgrave鈥檚 Jenna Talib led her team with 24 points while Lucy Xu scored 15, all of which came from beyond the arc. Sarah Ude was the top scorer for Pacific Academy with 17.
#5 St. Thomas More Collegiate Knights 52 #4 Notre Dame Jugglers 49
A second-half surge helped the St. Thomas More Collegiate Knights upset the Notre Dame Jugglers 52-49. Down seven at the break, the Knights came out of the locker room with a dozen straight points and wound up leading by eight with a period to play. The Jugglers would battle to cut the deficit to three but ran out of time before they could get any closer.
And it was a pair of Grade 10s leading the way as Mia Beliveau scored 18 with Demicah Arnaldo adding 14. Kaitlyn Chan led Notre Dame with 13 points.
#2 Holy Cross Crusaders 57 #10 Britannia Bruins 40
The Holy Cross Crusaders allowed just five second-quarter points as they defeated the Britannia Bruins 57-40 with the Grade 10 duo of Isla Iannuzzi (15 points) and Solene Jackson (14) leading the way. Tessa Scarlett-Charleson had 23 points for the Bruins.
#3 91原创 Christian Lightning 79 #11 St. Patrick Celtics 45
The 91原创 Christian Lightning shut the door defensively in the second half, holding the St. Patrick Saints to 15 points over the final 20 minutes in a 79-45 quarter-final. Colette Van der Hoven led the Lightning with 24 points while Grace Bradshaw had 17. The Celtics鈥� Chrisandra Laigo had 13 to lead her team.
1A Tournament
The No. 1 seed Pacific Christian Pacers face the fifth-seed Sir Alexander Mackenzie Grizzlies in one semi-final while the other features an all-Eastern Valley battle between the defending champion Credo Christian Kodiaks and the team they beat last year, the Unity Christian Flames.
#1 Pacific Christian Pacers 81 #8 Cedars Christian Eagles 37
The guard tandem of Abi Ellison and Kealayna Tupas-Singh was too much for the Cedars Christian Eagles as they combined for 51 points (scoring 26 and 25, respectively) in a 81-37 quarter-final win. The Pacers put the game out of reach early with 30 first-quarter points. Colby Konig鈥檚 11 points led the Eagles.
#5 Sir Alexander Mackenzie Grizzlies 53 #4 St. Ann鈥檚 Academy Crusaders 36
The Sir Alexander Mackenzie Grizzlies scored the final 12 points as they pulled off the upset, knocking off the fourth-seeded St. Ann鈥檚 Academy Crusaders 53-36. Kashlyn Mack (16 points) and Annika Parr (15 points) were tops on the Grizzlies with 31 points. Morgan Eichenberger and Maggie Pearce scored 10 apiece for the Crusaders.
#2 Unity Christian Flames 60 #7 Kelowna Christian Knights 33
The Unity Christian Flames were airtight defensively, holding the Kelowna Christian Knights to a singe field goal in the first 10 minutes. And while the Knights found no success scoring, the Flames were able to build a huge lead on their way to the 60-33 win.
Miah Schuurman was dominant on the offensive end of the floor as she scored 29 for Unity Christian. Claire Pasenau had 17 for Kelowna Christian.
#3 Credo Christian Kodiaks 73 #11 Immaculata Mustangs 40
The four-time defending provincial champion Credo Christian Kodiaks are one game away for another appearance in the title game. The Kodiaks鈥� Alexa Leyenhorst had 21 points while Demi Timmerman chipped in 18. Iyra Puno led the Mustangs with 23 points.
