Fans didn't have to wait long

91原创 91原创 fans didn't have to wait long for their team to score a first goal, the signal for the team's annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, Dec. 7.

Playing against Powell River Kings at George Preston, 91原创 struck first.

Sebastian Bradshaw played a pass out front that went off a Kings' skate and into the visitor鈥檚 net for his fourth of the season and a 1-0 91原创 lead with 5:38 gone in the first, making it rain Teddy Bears early in the contest.

91原创 led for the rest of the game with goals from Ryan Schelling, Noah Samanski, Dalton MacGillivray and Henry Butte to win their 12th of the season and final at home before the Christmas break.

More than 875 fans came through the door and everyone had either a teddy or some warm items for donations, the team reported.

Teddy bears were on sale at the game with a minimum $10 donation, and all of the profits go directly to the 91原创 Hospice Society and food bank.

The win followed Friday night's 9-5 loss in Chillwack to the Chiefs.

91原创 scored two goals 38 seconds apart to take a 2-0 lead in the first period, was still leading 5-3 by the end of the second, but Chilliwack scored six unanswered goals in the third for the win.

Luke Pfoh got two for 91原创, with Dalton MacGillivray, Ethan Merner and Ryan Schelling also scoring.

Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13-14, 91原创 visits Prince George Spruce Kings at Kopar Memorial Arena.
