Hockey fans have a chance to name the 91原创 91原创鈥檚 mascot.

The junior A hockey club launch the contest Wednesday (June 22)) at noon. Fans can submit their entries via the team鈥檚 website, www.langleyrivermen.com, through Twitter @langleyrivermen, or the team鈥檚 Facebook page.

鈥淚t鈥檚 important to get the fans鈥� input,鈥� said co-owner and team president Roy Henderson.

鈥淲e want people to see him in the community and be excited and know that they played a role in his name.鈥�

The 91原创 name is derived from 91原创鈥檚 history, as the early explorers and traders of the Hudson鈥檚 Bay Company and the Northwest Company, the 91原创, came to the west coast. These explorers were key in helping lay the groundwork for 91原创.

The team will narrow the names down based on popularity and then hold an online poll for fans to vote until training camp, when the winning selection will be announced.
