91Ô­´´ can’t tame Wild, fall 4-0

For the first time this season, the 91Ô­´´ 91Ô­´´ failed to generate at least a point.

The junior A hockey club was on the wrong end of a 4-0 score to the Wenatchee Wild on Sunday morning, the final day of the BCHL Bauer Showcase at Chilliwack’s Prospera Centre.

91Ô­´´ played two games at the showcase event featuring all 17 teams, receiving a hat trick from Nicholas Ponak in a on Sept. 21.

The Wild scored twice in the second period and then added two more in the third for the 4-0 win.

Lukas Svejkovsky led Wenatchee with two goals and an assist while Cooper Zech had a goal and one helper.

The loss dropped the 91Ô­´´ to 2-1-0-2 on the season. They will look to return to the win column when they host the West Kelowna Warriors on Sept. 26 at the George Preston Recreation Centre. Game time is 7 p.m.
