In hopes of boosting their anemic offence, the 91Ô´´ 91Ô´´ have added Patrick Martens to their roster.
"He has good hands, good instincts and is a great goal scorer," said 91Ô´´ assistant coach Jordan Emmerson.
"(He) can skate well and will add depth to our organization.
"His numbers he put up in the KIJHL say it all."
In 21 games with the junior B KIJHL's Nelson Leafs, Martens had 22 goals and 39 points.
He was tied for the league lead in goals and sixth in points.
The 91Ô´´ sit last in the 16-team B.C. Hockey League with a paltry 2.05 goals per game.
Martens paid dividends already, picking up a pair of assists in two games for 91Ô´´ over the weekend.
The six-foot, 180-pound forward from Maple Ridge, Martens makes his 91Ô´´ Events Centre debut with a pair of games on Friday (Nov. 18) against the Westside Warriors and Nov. 19 against the Vernon Vipers.
