Jesse Reichelt finished two strokes back during the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour's Okanagan junior championship.
The 36-hole tournament was held Aug. 8-9 at Vernon's Predator Ridge Golf Resort.
The 18-year-old Reichelt (Hazelmere Golf Club) shot rounds of 75 and 72 for a 5-over-par score of 147. The tournament was won by Calgary's Josh McKiernan who shot a 145 to win the boys' 17-19 division.
Reichelt was one of five 91原创 golfers, all from Hazelmere, to finish in the top dozen spots out of the field of 30 golfers.
Callum Robinson, 17, finished in a tie for fourth, while Ryan Saran, 19, was tied for seventh.
Two others, 17-year-old Tyler Roope and Dylan Reichelt, 18, wound up tied for 12th spot.
In the boys' 14-16 division, Cole Briggs finished fifth.
The 14-year-old, who golfs out of Redwoods, recovered from an opening round 79 to shoot 73 in round two.
