Quebec rallies, knocks off 91Ô­´´

After a big inning helped the host 91Ô­´´ squad take an 8-7 lead with one inning to play, Team Quebec rallied for an 11-run inning win win 18-10.

The two teams were playing at 91Ô­´´â€™s City Park on the third day of the Little League Canada 2017 Intermediate Canadian championships.

The tournament is for the 11 to 13-year-old age group and this is the first of three straight years 91Ô­´´ Baseball will host the championships.

The win improved Quebec to 2-0 while the host 91Ô­´´ team fell to 1-2.

91Ô­´´ had earlier defeated Team Ontario 14-1 while losing 22-1 to Team B.C.

B.C. leads the five-team competition at 3-0, followed by Quebec at 2-0.

91Ô­´´ sits third at 1-2 while Ontario and Team Alberta are both 0-2.

The action resumes today (July 24) with B.C. and Quebec taking the diamond at 3 p.m. followed by Ontario and Alberta at 6 p.m.

The round-robin portion of the championships conclude on July 25 with 91Ô­´´ facing Alberta at 6 p.m. Ontario and Quebec are the 3 p.m. game.

The semifinals are slated for July 26 with the championship final on July 27 at 6 p.m.

The winner represents Canada at the Intermediate World Series tournament July 30 to Aug. 6 in Livermore, Calif.
