Plummer latest to join Giants

Vancouver has signed three of its top four draft picks from 2017 Western Hockey League bantam draft

The Vancouver Giants have kept busy, inking another one of their Western Hockey League bantam draft picks.

The Giants announced the signing of third-round pick Krz Plummer to a WHL standard player agreement.

They have now signed from .

鈥淚t鈥檚 been a dream of mine for a while,鈥 said Plummer of signing with Vancouver.

鈥淚鈥檓 super happy to finally sign, and I鈥檓 really excited for the future.鈥

He can play in five games with the Giants next season before his midget season ends.

Plummer is a six-foot, 200-pound forward, is from Whitecourt, Alta.

He had eight goals and 20 points in 27 games with the Pursuit of Excellence bantam prep team and then another two goals ans six points in five games to help his team win the Bantam Prep championship. Competing at the Alberta Cup in April, he had four goals and one assist in five games for Team Northwest.

鈥淜rz is an all-around player who has a strong physical side to his game and excels in the tough areas of the rink,鈥 said Vancouver general manager Glen Hanlon.

鈥淗is size is above average for his age, and we think he鈥檚 going to be someone who can control the boards and control the front of the net. He was eager to come and play for the Giants, and we鈥檙e excited to add him to our group.鈥
