91Ô­´´â€™s Tavia Rowell earns most valuable player honours as 91Ô­´´ Sports Association U17 squad wins silver

Thirty teams in three age groups from across the country hit the hardwood at the 91Ô­´´ Events Centre for four days of basketball action.

The teams were competing at the inaugural s, with teams in the U13, U15 and U17 divisions.

The event is also slated to return to the LEC in 2018.

A pair of local teams, representing the 91Ô­´´ Sports Association, were in the U15 and U17 divisions, with the latter group winning the silver medal.

LSA lost 54-53 to VK Basketball’s U16 squad in Monday afternoon’s championship final.

Despite the loss, 91Ô­´´â€™s Tavia Rowell was named most valuable player.

The U13 championship saw VK Basketball Red defeat BC250 53-31 while the U15 final was NXT Level against VK Basketball U15.
