The accomplishments of Hawley Bennett-Awad and her teammates back in the fall have earned them one more honour.
The Canadian eventing team, which features the 91原创 rider, won silver at the World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky. The second-place finish, Canada鈥檚 first medal at a major world equestrian championship since 1978, also qualified Canada for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
And on Saturday night, the team was the recipient of the equestrian of the year award at the Equine Canada awards banquet in Ottawa.
The 33-year-old Bennett splits her time between 91原创 and California.
