The Lower Fraser Valley All-Stars鈥� dream of going to the World Series ended on Tuesday with a loss to the host team in the Canadian senior (15/16) national championship semifinals in Rouyn-Noranda, Que.
The All-Stars 鈥� a collection of players from 91原创, North 91原创 and Whalley 鈥� lost 5-1 to the host team and top-seed team from Quebec.
Lower Fraser Valley had put itself in a huge hole, losing their first three games of the tournament, all by a single run.
But needing to win their final two games to qualify for the playoff round, they responded with a 10-2 win over Ontario and then a 9-8 victory over the Prairies to finish the round robin fourth.
Quebec faced Ontario in the championship final.
