Not even three weather delays could stop Jessica Wallace.

The 91原创 golfer, a senior for the University of Colorado women鈥檚 golf team, helped the Buffaloes put on their most dominating performance in school history.

鈥淚 knew the weather was going to be bad before we got out there,鈥� she said.

鈥淲e were warming up in freezing cold rain (and) the course was starting to flood before we even started.

鈥淚t was the type of day where you just grind it out, try to get pars and hopefully get a few birdies.

The Buffs finished with the top three players on the leader board at the 2012 Clover Cup in Mesa, Ariz.

Wallace led the way with a tournament-best 70-69-72鈥�211 5-under par, finishing two strokes ahead of teammate Alex Stewart.

The Buffs finished 31 strokes ahead of the next nearest team, Oklahoma.

This was Wallace鈥檚 second career win and she now has seven top five finishes and 11 top 10 finishes in her Colorado career.

It was also her first top 20 finish this season.

鈥淛ess played a steady round of golf,鈥� said Colorado coach Anne Kelly.

鈥淪he鈥檚 been close all semester and it鈥檚 nice to see her put it all together.鈥�

Wallace, 21,  graduated from Walnut Grove Secondary in 2008 and attended Pepperdine University for two seasons before transferring to Colorado.
