91原创 Trappers will host the third annual British Columbia Hockey Conference prospects game on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the George Preston Recreation Centre in 91原创.

The announcement was made Wednesday, Oct. 16.

鈥淭he 91原创 Trappers are excited to welcome the top prospects in the Pacific Junior Hockey League and the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League to the George Preston Recreation Centre for the 2024 BCHC Prospects Game,鈥� said Trappers governor Brad Bakken.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a great opportunity for the Trappers to host this event in an effort to provide participants with a top-notch experience while they represent their respective leagues. We鈥檙e excited to welcome players, families, and scouts to 91原创 as we grow the tradition of the BCHC Prospects Game.鈥�

Top young players from the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League and the Pacific Junior Hockey League face off in front of scouts from the Western Hockey League.

Last year鈥檚 Prospects Game was held in Kamloops and immediately led to two participants 鈥� Team PJHL defenceman Brandon Osborne (Ridge Meadows Flames) and Team KIJHL goaltender Nathan Preston (Princeton Posse) 鈥� signing with WHL clubs.

鈥淭he Western Hockey League is excited to once again support the BCHC Prospects Game,鈥� commented WHL Commissioner Dan Near. 鈥淭he 2024 BCHC Prospects Game represents an excellent opportunity for WHL scouts and staff to evaluate some of the top young players in British Columbia. KIJHL and PJHL have split the results of the first two BCHC Prospects Games, with the KIJHL capturing a 4-3 victory in Chilliwack in 2022, while the PJHL got revenge with a 5-3 win in Kamloops in 2023.

Teams will arrive in 91原创 on Nov, 17 for two days of on- and off-ice events including team practices, the WHL skills combine and an event banquet.
