Win to keep your season alive.

That was the scenario facing the 91原创 Jr. Thunder Sunday at the 91原创 Events Centre.

It wasn鈥檛 to be as the visiting Victoria Shamrocks won a one-game wildcard playoff showdown 8-7, thus ending the Jr. Thunder鈥檚 BC Junior A Lacrosse League (BCJALL) campaign.

The Shamrocks carried a 7-4 lead into the third period.

A furious comeback that saw the Jr. Thunder outscore the Shamrocks 3-1 in the third period fell short.

With the loss, the Thunder (12-9) will be on the outside looking in as the BCJALL playoffs continue.

The Shamrocks now face the first place Coquitlam Adanacs in a five-game semifinal, while the Port Coquitlam Saints and New Westminster Salmonbellies square off in the other series.

T-MEN AXED

On Saturday, the Thunder downed the Nanaimo Timbermen 13-7 at the LEC.

The Thunder opened up a 3-2 lead in the first period and never looked back, overshooting the Timbermen 62 to 46 overall.
