Deals see several new names added to team roster

91原创 91原创 have signed Tyler Kuntz as the team鈥檚 new associate head coach and associate general manager.

In making the announcement on June 13, 91原创 head coach and general manager Burt Henderson described Kuntz as having 鈥渦nrivalled鈥 experience.

鈥淗is unwavering dedication to the sport and remarkable track record underscore his commitment. We eagerly anticipate the fresh insights he will bring to our coaching staff and his impact on our players,鈥 Henderson added.

Kuntz was head coach of the UBC Thunderbirds varsity men鈥檚 hockey team in 2014-15, after spending four years as the team鈥檚 assistant coach. He was assistant coach for the 91原创-based Vancouver Giants for two seasons from 2015-17.

After leaving the Giants, Kuntz became head coach and general manager of the Powell River Kings.

Most recently, he led the U18 program at St. George鈥檚 School as head coach.

As a player, Kuntz spent time on the ice for UBC and the BCHL Burnaby Bulldogs, as well as stints in the United States and Germany.

91原创 have also announced a trade deal with the Surrey Eagles, acquiring goaltender Eli Pulver, and forwards Ewan Rennie and Conner Schneider, in return, for goaltender Ajeet Gundarah.

Pulver was immediately traded to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks for future considerations.

In a separate deal, the team acquired forward Thomas Tien and centre Maxim Borovinskiy.

Tien spent two years with the WHL Moose Jaw Warriors and a recent season with the Vipers, while Borovinskiy previously played two seasons each with the Prince George Spruce Kings and the Vernon Vipers.

Henderson said their addition to the roster 鈥渂rings a mix of experience and talent that will significantly bolster our squad.鈥

Kuntz noted both players 鈥渉ave a proven track record of success in their respective leagues. They will bring leadership, skill, and a competitive edge to our team.鈥
