Aldergrove Kodiaks' Ryan Veillet slips the puck past Grandview Steelers goalie David Banka to score the home team's only goal in a 3-1 loss on Oct. 5. The Kodiaks bounced back to defeat the Abbotsford Pilots 3-2 in their next game.

Colby Rosner's power-play goal with less than five minutes remaining helped the Aldergrove Kodiaks ground the Abbotsford Pilots 3-2.

The junior B hockey clubs were playing the front-end of a home-and-home series on Friday at the MSA Arena. They complete the set on Wednesday (Oct. 12) at the Aldergrove Arena.

The Kodiaks erased a 1-0 deficit with a pair of second-period goals from Thomas Hardy and Ryan Veillet, the latter of which came on the power play.

The Pilots goals were scored early in the first and third periods, Matthew Genovese on the power play and Luke Venema short-handed.

Ross Baadsvik made 32 saves in the Aldergrove goal.

The victory came on the heels of a 3-1 loss to the Grandview Steelers on Oct. 5.

In that game, the Kodiaks managed just a single goal despite registering 42 shots on goal.

Veillet was the lone Aldergrove player to find the back of the net.

Grandview received goals from Kyle Golz and Simon Horlick in the first and second period, with Golz scoring into the empty net.
