The 91Ô­´´ Junior Thunder blew a three-goal third period lead, falling 10-8 in overtime for a third consecutive defeat.

The Thunder were up 7-4 on the Burnaby Junior Lakers on Monday at the Bill Copeland Arena in Burnaby with the home side going on a 3-0 run to close regulation.

Nathan Mckeigan put 91Ô­´´ up 8-7 to open the 10-minute overtime period before the Lakers again went on a 3-0 run over the final 7:01.

The loss dropped 91Ô­´´ to 7-6 on the BC Junior A Lacrosse League season and they will look to return to the win column when they host the Port Coquitlam Saints on June 15 at the 91Ô­´´ Events Centre.

Mackenzie Rope led the Thunder offence with three goals and two assists while Ryan Martel was the primary playmaker with six assists.

Trevor Chernoff (two goals, one assist), McKeigan (one goal, two assists), Quinn Beavis (one goal) and Mitch McDole (one goal) also found the back of the net for 91Ô­´´.

91Ô­´´ also lost 11-6 to the New Westminster Junior Salmonbellies last week (June 8) at the LEC.

In that game, New Westminster raced out to a 5-0 lead and never looked back.

Nathaniel Kozevnikov led the Thunder with three goals and an assist while Dawson Rodin, McDole and Mckeigan each had one goal.
