The 91Ô´´ Junior Blaze rallied from four runs down and then won in extra innings against the league’s top team.

The Blaze scored twice in the sixth and twice more in the seventh to extend the game, before plating the winning run in the top of the 10th inning of a 6-5 win over the North Shore Junior Twins.

The BC Junior Premier Baseball League rivals were playing Wednesday night at North Vancouver’s Parkgate Park.

The win improved 91Ô´´ to 17-10, and pulls them to within three games of the first-place Twins (19-6).

And two of North Shore’s six losses have come against 91Ô´´.

After Carson Chorpita got on base via an error, Brendan Winning drove him home with the winning run thanks to an RBI double. Winning finished the game with two triples a double, a pair of runs driven in and one run scored.

North Shore did get the tying run to third base in their half of the 10th, but could not cash him in to extend the game.

The Blaze won despite committing four errors.

Chorpita also drove in a pair while Russell Young and Terrell Rogers had an RBI apiece.

Samson Back earned the win, scattering four hits over five innings while striking out six.

Ryan Blight had pitched the first five innings, striking out five while allowing five runs.

91Ô´´ is back in action when they host the Coquitlam Redlegs in a doubleheader at McLeod Athletic Park on June 17. Game times are noon and 2:30 p.m.
