North 91原创 U19 fastball squad out-scores foes to tune of 64-11 in capturing gold medal at Spring Sizzle

There was no beating the Heat in Kelowna.

Not only did the North 91原创 Heat U19 go undefeated in capturing gold, but the women鈥檚 fastball team annihilated the competition on June 3 and 4 at Kelowna鈥檚 High Noon Park to take the title at the Spring Sizzle.

The Heat scored 64 runs over the course of the tournament while allowing just 11 runs against.

And eight of those runs came in two games, including four in an 11-4 victory over Mission Elite in Sunday鈥檚 gold medal game.

The Heat went 3-0 in round robin, beating the South Surrey Bat Altitudes 13-1, blanking the Summerland Scorch 9-0 and downing the Kamloops Vendetta 7-1.

In the playoff round, North 91原创 topped the Cloverdale Kaos 14-4 and downed the Kelowna Angels 10-1.

The championship victory comes on the heels of a pair of silver-medal finishes for North 91原创 at earlier tournaments in Cloverdale and Kamloops, respectively .

The Heat are now an impressive 29-2-1 on the season.

The U19 Heat team consists of Alexis Melville, Andria Coulbourn, Breanne Winters, Brielle Collins, Cassidy Russell, Emma Paradis, Hailee McMillan, Hailey Nowotny, Jenna Senft, Jess Hynds-Stewart, Kassidy Karras, Sarah Holmstrom, Taylor Cahill and Terae Walters. The coaches are Jeff McMillan and Greg Russell.
