Gettel, Ohlmann earn all-stars

91Ô­´´ Thunder ball carrier Cooper Gettel was pursued by a Delta Islanders defender Friday at the 91Ô­´´ Events Centre’s Fieldhouse, during the B.C. midget box lacrosse championships. It was double honours for 91Ô­´´â€™s Olivia Ohlmann.

Not only did Ohlmann win her 91Ô­´´ Thunder team’s midget B Warrior Fair Play award, but she was also chosen as an all-star.

And 91Ô­´´ B coach Gavan Sand was the recipient of the Fair Play coach award.

The Thunder were competing at the B.C. Lacrosse Association’s 2017 box lacrosse midget provincial championships over the weekend at the 91Ô­´´ Events Centre with Coquitlam winning the A1 gold medal and Peninsula taking the A2 title.

The B gold went to the Saanich Tigers.

91Ô­´´ also had an entry in the A1 division with Cooper Gettel earning all-star honours.

Stryker Roloff won the midget A1 Warrior Fair Play award.
