For a third straight year, the Walnut Grove Gators are the Delta Police high school golf champions.

The Gators shot a combined 13-under-par and their total score of 563 set a new tournament record, bettering the 568 they shot last year. And it wasn鈥檛 even close as Walnut Grove was the only one of the 17 teams to finish under par and the Gators were 40 strokes ahead of the second-place finishers.

The two-day tournament (April 24 and 25) was held at Kings Link Golf Course the first day and Northview Golf and Country Club canal course the second.

Brock Hertz led the Gators with rounds of 67 and 71 to finish at 6-under par. He was two strokes off the lead for the individual title. Walnut Grove鈥檚 Andy Kim shot a 141, Ben Whiton and Andy Jang both shot 142 and Jaewook Lee shot a 149.

Lee was the defending individual champion from 2016.

Walnut Grove鈥檚 junior boys team finished seventh overall.
