91Ô´´ ‘Crunch’ed the competition over the weekend.
The local hockey squad was in Lillooet for a peewee house tournament, and after a close scare in the opener, the Crunch flattened their opponents en route to the gold medal.
91Ô´´ won 3-2 against North Okanagan in the first game.
The offence found its game against Ashcroft, piling up a dozen goals in a 12-0 rout of Ashcroft.
Needing a win in the final round robin game against Prince George to advance to the final, the Crunch proved to be too much, winning 9-1.
The gold medal game was against 100 Mile House, and while their opponents came out firing in the early going, the Crunch withstood the early pressure. 91Ô´´ then scored in its first shot and never looked back, winning 9-3.
