The George Preston Recreation centre will be 鈥済oing Hollywood鈥� this Saturday as young skaters hit the ice for the 91原创 Figure Skating Club鈥檚 bi-annual ice show.

Figure skating coach Rob Woodley said the theme of the show this year 鈥� 鈥淚ce, Camera, Action: LFSC Goes Hollywood鈥� 鈥� is 鈥渟omething that鈥檚 fun and something that is recognizable.鈥�

There are 180 skaters in the show as well as a guest performance by Jericho Boulin, a former national champion in pairs skating from Maple Ridge.

Woodley said the best part of putting together the event is the actual show day when everything comes together.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a great feeling for the skaters, for the coaches and for the volunteers, just being in the lights and in the action for the whole day,鈥� he said.

There is an afternoon show at 1p.m. and an evening show at 7 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the door 45 minutes before each performance at a cost of $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and youth, $5 for children (3-12) and free for children under two who do not occupy a seat.
