Members of the 91原创 Figure Skating Club were rehearsing on Monday for this weekend鈥檚 bi-annual ice show.

The George Preston Recreation centre will be 鈥済oing Hollywood鈥 this Saturday as young skaters hit the ice for the 91原创 Figure Skating Club鈥檚 bi-annual ice show.

Figure skating coach Rob Woodley said the theme of the show this year 鈥 鈥淚ce, Camera, Action: LFSC Goes Hollywood鈥 鈥 is 鈥渟omething that鈥檚 fun and something that is recognizable.鈥

There are 180 skaters in the show as well as a guest performance by Jericho Boulin, a former national champion in pairs skating from Maple Ridge.

Woodley said the best part of putting together the event is the actual show day when everything comes together.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a great feeling for the skaters, for the coaches and for the volunteers, just being in the lights and in the action for the whole day,鈥 he said.

There is an afternoon show at 1p.m. and an evening show at 7 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the door 45 minutes before each performance at a cost of $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and youth, $5 for children (3-12) and free for children under two who do not occupy a seat.
